A gift-giving program was held last December 12, 2019 at the barangay hall of Panicuason, Naga City by the Scintillant class of 2018, alumni of Naga View Adventist College-Academy Department. The said program was done to create a tradition of giving back just as how they were taught when they were in their high school days at NVAC. Together with their adviser, Mrs. Daphne D. Valenzuela, with the help of Mr. Nova Joy Valenzuela, the members of the Scintillant class prepared 68 simple gifts and 80 pieces of packed foods for the selected children of Panicuason. This was funded through the contribution of the members with the help of their adviser and major sponsors, Genesis Marie Gatdula and Narelljan Cachila, both members of the Scintillant Class.

The games followed where in children participated happily. On the time for the gift giving and food distribution, the children lined up to receive their foods and gifts. The program ended with picture taking. Since there were remaining funds, the Scintillant class decided to give them to the homeless and street people at Naga City.

Gift giving is a great way of sharing our blessings to others. Simple may it seem, what matters is our willingness in our heats to give. That’s what we learned from our advisers and our Alma Mater. And we know that we’ll do it in every opportunity we can. Jamila Gem Tunacao, one who initiated the program, humbly shared.
